JOB SUMMARY
This role requires an individual who possesses strong organizational skills and project management experience. The candidate should be able to manage multiple aspects simultaneously and ensure that they are completed within budget, on schedule, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to collaborate with various teams, stakeholders, and partners involved in the project. The ideal candidate should have a solid educational background, with experience in student support and success programs, and a deep understanding of the needs of students. Leadership qualities, such as the ability to motivate and inspire team members, and the capacity to make strategic decisions that align with the organization's mission and values.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, School Psychology, Public Health, Educational Administration and Leadership, Social Work or closely related field [official transcripts required upon hire];
  • (5) five years of experience managing complex programs and projects;
  • Possession of a valid Oklahoma certificate in School Counseling, Elementary Education, Early Childhood, School Psychology, Education/Administration, or closely related field;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • (3) three years’ experience in school-based mental health services, trauma-informed care, and multi-tiered system of supports; Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW, LBP, LMFT)

  • Collaboration: collaborating with external evaluators and stakeholders to monitor and analyze school and community data; collaborate with existing groups such as professional associations, the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health Services, Community Mental Health Providers, and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to develop and implement initiatives that provide trauma-informed school services.
  • Planning and directing division activities: assist the Student Support Specialists with training and communication plans for disseminating information to the school community, aligning teaming structures with MTSS. Additionally, contribute to state-wide efforts aimed at updating practices and procedures related to multi-tiered supports and a trauma-informed approach.
  • Developing & implementing solutions: assist in the local and state-level development and implementation of trauma-informed practices that focus on prevention, education, reinforcement, and response.
  • Leading & Motivating: coordinate and lead efforts for continuous improvement of professional learning and staff wellness, while providing families and the community with knowledge on trauma, adversity, and services through multi-tiered supports.
  • Grant Management: collaborate with the Project Director/ Executive Director of School-Based Mental Health to submit grant performance measures, outcomes, reporting, and other mandatory communications to the granting entity.
  • Compliance: familiarity with state and federal regulations (specifically: Americans with Disability Act, Civil Rights Act of 1964, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA);

TRAVEL
  • 30% in-state/out-of-state travel may be required to conduct, facilitate and/or attend meetings and trainings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is typically performed in a climate-controlled office setting with exposure to moderate noise. While performing the duties of the job, employee is frequently required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of computer and phone. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time;
  • This is a field-based position and requires travel in and around Oklahoma;
  • The work environment for this position includes:
