Job description
Summary:
Perform inspections and tests on in-process and finished product as defined inprocedures and work instructions to ensure that quality standards and process controlsare being met throughout the manufacturing process. Generate the appropriatedocumentation, records, and reports. Support quality, engineering andmanufacturing as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This job includes but is not limited to the following:
- Self-starter taking initiative without direction.
- Dedicated to Department/Company Objectives.
- Knowledge of geometric tolerance, dimensioning and parts inspection.
- Inspect and record all parts at specified frequencies, with specified lot size, inaccordance with approved Quality Control procedures with calibrated gaugesand measuring devices.
- Perform audits as necessary to ascertain quality.
- Make sure all suspect parts have been properly tagged and sent to the designatedholding area.
- Must be able to perform moderately heavy lifting.
- Capable and willing to work overtime.
- Work in a safe manner, so not to endanger self or co-workers. Report unsafeconditions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company.
- Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned tocontinue the productive operation of the company.
- Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and PaceIndustries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
- Reports to supervision as dictated by organizational chart. Has the authority andresponsibility for controlling quality as delegated by management.

Position Requirements / Desired Skills:
A high school diploma or GED is required. An Associate's Degree orVocational/Technical education would be a plus, and/or 3 years of equivalent workexperience. Individuals with ability to interpret blueprint/drawings, with previousexperiences or background in CNC machining, or CMM Operations (PC-DMIS) or die-cast manufacturing can also apply. The ability to read and understand drawings, andproblem solving skills are needed, as well as the ability to train and develop associates.
Forklift certification may be required. Able to lift 30lbs.
