SCOPE:
Under supervision of the Quality Manager, the Inspector will test and inspect manufactured products to ensure the quality standards and functionality meet all customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements. They may also monitor the inspection and testing activities of the production floor or set up equipment to monitor product conformance. They will also be responsible for the identification and repair of defects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support all ISO requirements, including calibration, control of documents, control of records, control of non-conforming products, etc.
  • Inspect incoming equipment from internal and external suppliers to ensure quality as defined in work instruction, engineering bulletins, supplier manuals, etc.
  • Audit prints, shop orders, change orders, etc. to ensure specifications are consistent with customer requirements, industry and regulatory standards, and established company practices.
  • Ensure manufacturing quality documents are complete and legible.
  • Prepare Record of Pump Construction (ROPC) and certificates of conformance and test results.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot quality concerns through root cause resolution.
  • Repair defective equipment, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

  • No experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical components (pumps, hydraulic systems, wiring), preferred.
  • CDL license (class B), preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
