Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as determined by management):
- Identify revenue cycle operational requirements, redesign opportunities and opportunities for improvement.
- Gather information by observing workflows, reading company reports, conducting employee interviews, analyzing reports etc.
- Manage exception-based scenarios & understand user requests to facilitate appropriate action steps.
- Prioritize problems and requests (new and existing) according to severity.
- Troubleshoot and resolves user requests, issues, and conflicts.
- Work cross-functionally and across OOMC’s practices to analyze business processes and implement changes to further align operations.
- Actively shares information across the Revenue Cycle and Finance team leadership.
- Determine appropriate methods to analyze operations, relevant information, and data.
- Document findings, create and/or prepare reports, and make recommendations.
- Develop new processes and procedures to enhance operations.
- Work with managers and employees to implement changes.
- Develop and implement improved revenue cycle processes and procedures from intake to collections.
- Reviewing billing practices to guarantee accurate revenue recognition and invoicing.
- Analyze revenue cycle data and perform trend analysis.
- Present revenue cycle reports and forecasts, as well as identify opportunities to compliantly optimize revenue.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in revenue cycle management.
- Train OOMC employees to use new systems or follow new processes as needed
- Determine the effectiveness of new processes.
- Establish and maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare and other regulatory requirements.
Revenue Cycle Analyst Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or statistics.
- At least two years' experience as a revenue cycle analyst, or similar.
- Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle data analysis and interpretation.
- Expert Excel skills. Preferably well versed in VB Scripting, Nested IF Statements, and or similar compound calculations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience using statistical and database software.
- Consulting and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
