About Camp Tanager
Established in 1926, Camp Tanager provides day and overnight camp programs to over 1,000 campers each summer. Campers from all backgrounds are welcome to attend our programs designed for fun, fitness, friendship and learning. Camp Tanager was voted Coolest Camp in Iowa in 2016 by The Philadelphia Inquirer for our unique and expansive program offerings.

- Day Camp Cook schedule is Monday – Friday, lunch prep – dinner service.

Job Details
The Seasonal Camp Cook will assist in meal preparation, service, clean-up, general kitchen maintenance and oversee kitchen staff while following all health guidelines as to comply with local and state health and safety ordinances. This position works with the Camp Director on day to day operation of the kitchen.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years previous experience working in a food service environment.
- Must be Safe-Serve certified.
