Temporary Summer Position
Location: District Office - Student Services
Dates: Tentative start date of July 24th. Dates and hours may vary; not to exceed 40 hrs per week.

SUMMARY:
Sweet Home School District seeks individuals to transfer special education information to SynergySE. Qualified applicants will be flexible, adaptable, technologically savvy, and easily trained to key in, cut-paste, and use drop down menus to transfer confidential information from digital documents to Synergy SE. Persons who have familiarity with student information systems and/or writing IEPs preferred. The job will entail extended periods of time at a computer screen. There will be a required SynergySE training video before starting the process of transferring information. Confidentiality is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times,
- Willingness and ability to be trained on processes for data transfer
- Transferring digital information via keyboarding, cutting and pasting, and using drop down menu selections
- Accuracy of the information transfer is imperative to ensure compliance
- Being able to remain at a computer work station for extended periods of time
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Students as may be assigned to assist in workload. Responsibilities include training, planning and directing work.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and
- One year in general office work or training or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrative competence in the use of computer and office machines.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, tact and diplomacy.
- Such alternative qualifications as the Board deems appropriate.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of people.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to pass a typing test at 55 words per minute. Ability to operate a personal computer and related software. Ability to get along with other people. Patience in dealing with parents and small children. Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. ATTENDANCE STANDARDS:
This is a non-exempt position as defined under the Oregon Wage and Hours Law. The normal work year and work day will be based on the operational needs of the district, however there may be some hours beyond the normal day, or normal week, depending on the particular operational needs of the district. The attendance standards described, herein, shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours or days of work.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Wages for this position will be determined by the Board of Directors. Work schedules will be reviewed and approved by the Business Manager and will be based on the operational needs of the district.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board’s policy on the evaluation of Classified personnel.
