Senior Clerical Assistant – Child Support
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.53 - $21.19
Closing Date: April 24, 2023 or sooner upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions.

Job Summary: This position performs complex and varied clerical tasks which include maintaining the KIDS database, schedule hearings, coordinate training schedules for staff, produce and e-file required legal documents and provide necessary clerical support to ensure compliance with federal regulations, state laws and mandates.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create standardized legal documents and correspondences utilizing word processing. Verify the accuracy of keyboarded copies against original documentation
  • Using Microsoft Bookings, maintain the FCC1 calendar for the Enforcement unit’s assigned days.
  • Query various databases including the Child Support Partner Resource site and Onbase. Updates KIDS data system with various data elements
  • Coordinate training schedules of staff with state training site.
  • Provide clerical support for Child Support Services. Maintains confidentiality of all records, documents, and correspondences
  • Assemble information packets for mailing and distribution to participants. Mail and fax various documents to employers, attorneys, participants, and other agencies. Sort and distribute mail to case managers. Arrange legal documents for service of process.
  • Any and all other duties as may be assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience performing complex and varied office clerical work.
  • Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred: Prior experience working in a legal setting which included working with WI Courts e-filing services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of office/customer service principles, methods, and practices; oral and written communication skills; analytical skills, basic math skills, skill in data entry and in using a personal computer, including the ability to query and retrieve information and produce word processing documents. Plan and work independently in a fast paced and high stress environment. The ability to work with multicultural populations and projecting a positive and concerned image to the public. Being sensitive to participants and learning child support regulations, policies, procedures, statutes and e-file requirements in order to work effectively and harmoniously with internal and external clients and the public with the capacity to maintain strict confidentiality.
