We are seeking a Senior Database Developer and Data Modeler to build and deliver data-driven solutions to our internal users and members. This job requires database design and development talent and experience, analysis skills, and a comprehensive knowledge of different types of data model design and development.
This position requires a broad business perspective and a willingness to step into multiple roles. This role will focus on continuing the development of a new corporate Data Warehouse in snowflake and transactional OLTP in SQL or other AWS technology. We are transitioning to a full AWS stack, SnowFlake, and integrating other third-party applications such as BI, Data Integration such as snaplogic, Salesforce, Ecommerce, LMS, etc...
Pay and Benefits
$115,000 - $130,000 per year DOE, plus $75/month cell phone allowance and the following benefits:

The Opportunity
Do you know what an ERD is? How about creating a logical or physical data model? Can you accommodate change data capture or slowly changing dimensions? Have you not only managed and adopted, but built your own star and snowflake schema from the ground up? Do you know what and when to use Fact and Dimension tables? Can you construct the DDL to build the machine that builds the machine? If so, this is the opportunity for you to gain experience in the medical field, but already understand HIPAA and other healthcare requirements around data security. Success in this role will mean working across departments and with multiple software tools to use an agile methodology and forward planning to design, prototype, and develop clinical, financial, and operational data repositories that will contribute to reporting solutions and business intelligence applications across our family of audiology, medical, and dental practice members.
The Role
Working in a mostly Agile development environment, this position requires a broad range of skills and the ability to work within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment with changing needs. The qualified candidate should have significant experience and desire to mentor, develop and lead the implementation of data stewardship, data modeling for both BI and OLTP database solutions. This position also places the highest emphasis on evangelizing and educating internal personnel on how data solutions and transactional systems should be used to improve business results.

  • Data Modeling (Snowflake, Star, Slowly Changing Dimensions, Fact/Dim, Relational)

  • Lambda and Node.js or Python
  • Snaplogic (desired)
  • AWS, including EC2 servers and RDS
  • AWS, SQL Server, Dynamo, Aurora
  • SSIS (desired)
  • NoSQL (desired)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORK DEMANDS:
This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain.
