Senior Systems Testing Coordinator
Position Highlights:
The Senior Systems Testing Coordinator will lead the coordination of testing new system implementations and upgrades, development of domain strategy, and/or support of non-clinical, clinical and patient access systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develops effective testing strategy for new applications and upgrades
- Lead test plan development, testing process execution and improvements, and tool selection to perform regression, unit, system, integrated, and/or UAT testing, according to the Software Testing policy and standards.
- Ensure that testing activities will allow application teams to meet business requirements, enhancements, and systems goals.
- Identify and facilitate the resolution of system implementation issues.
- Ability to independently facilitate and participate in the execution of testing events.
- Achieve and maintain Top of Solution
- Review and include implementation of new systems, and enhancements as part of upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including, CDH, project managers, vendors, non-Clinical application teams, IT analysts, Clinical Application Architect, Patient access, Clinical Informatics, and business owners in the review and prioritization of new implementations and enhancements
- Develop plan to remain on current code of n-1.
- Issue Management, documentation, and communication
- Ensure issues are identified, prioritized, validated and tracked to monitor remediation progress.
- Produce reports and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, logging, and tracking.
- Collaborate with project management leadership to ensure appropriate communication strategies are developed and deployed to appropriate stakeholders.
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to stakeholders and management.
- Leads and mentors the Testing Analysts:
- Manage testing resources during testing life cycle.
- Provides priority and direction throughout duration of test planning and execution, and recommends test process improvements.
- Ensures test documentation is developed and up to date.
- Provides input into professional development to help strengthen a team member's testing abilities.
Credentials and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree - field of study: Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Seven (7) years relevant exp in leading the coordinator of testing new system implementations and upgrades, development of domain strategy, and/or support of non-clinical, clinical and patient access systems.
Or
- Associates Degree with an additional two (2) years IT Systems Analysis and support for a total of nine (9) years system implementation and support of applications.
- Five (5) years of testing/quality assurance experience.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience managing projects and/or testing events.
- Two (2) years relevant experience with testing automation software and techniques.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years Cerner Millennium build experience.
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in information system development.
- Related experience in an academic/research/health care environment is a plus.
