You will collaborate across architects, engineers, and customers in the enterprise and drive simplified and modern architecture on the cloud to bring agility to the customer platforms. Cloud Platform and Data Architect to join their Enterprise Architecture team.

- Use a customer first mindset to drive architecture that is scalable, cloud first, cost effective and increase business agility
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to influence key architectural decisions
- Lead the cloud platform reference architecture for Modernization initiatives across AF Digital Solution
- Work very closely with Cloud Engineering and Security Engineering team to define Cloud Native patterns.
- Define target state architecture and develop phased roadmaps that front load business value and deliver critical capabilities
- Operate as a trusted advisor for Cloud Platform and Data Architecture for delivery teams
- Ensure alignment of solution architecture to cloud first principles
- Provide architectural guidance and mentoring to multiple development teams
- Develop and document current and target state architecture diagrams and mappings
- Provide architecture oversight of application and technology projects and programs
- Motivate, coach, and serve as a role model and mentor for other architects
- Drive innovation by constantly looking at new technologies and frameworks that aligns with our future state vision and build reference architecture around them to evangelize across engineering teams
- Other duties as assigned
- BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- 8 years of Solution Architecture and distributed systems
- 8+ years of very strong hands-on experience with Java/Spring/Springboot based Solution Architecture and Development.
- Strong understanding of Cloud Data Architecture and Data Platforms including No SQL, Relational and Cloud Data Warehouse technologies.
- Hands on experience with AWS
- 5 years as Enterprise Cloud Architect with hands on experience on private and/or public cloud platforms
- Very strong knowledge of modern cloud deployment patterns and architecture
- Demonstrated experience in architecting on the cloud native solutions on AWS
- Hands on experience Architecting Ecommerce and Business Applications on cloud platforms
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Strong business mindset with customer obsession; ability to collaborate with business partners to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills to both executives and technical architects and developers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on large, transformational projects and a proven ability to bring disparate technical teams together around a shared architectural vision
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or other Engineering disciplines
- Practical experience in Data Governance Tools and Implementation at Enterprise Level
- Currently hold an active Secret or higher level security clearance
