Responsibilities:

Define needed case action, collect information, establish cases facts, and draws valid conclusions concerning cases to determine specific action to be taken in the program areas of medical support establishment, medical support enforcement, support modification, termination, support enforcement, location, Interstate, and income withholding. Receive and respond to inquiries and requests for information from both phone and walk-in clients in a prompt and professional manner. Interview via telephone, e-mail, in-person, or written correspondence Public Assistance recipients and non-Public. Communicate with clients, the public and other governmental and non-governmental agencies to obtain pertinent data necessary in order to properly service cases or to initiate court activity; refer cases to appropriate agency department for further action; utilize Compass and the Ohio Integrated Eligibility System (OIES) Inner Web to obtain information. Determine specific action needed in various program areas in an attempt for resolution or seek Supervisor’s assistance when necessary. Locate non-residential parents by contacting IV-D recipients, present or former employers, local postal services, public records, and any other available resources. Perform interstate actions under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA), which include establishing and enforcing support orders and collecting current and unpaid support from absent parents across state lines. Gather preliminary information for administrative, court, state or county hearings, or county conferences; schedule and attend hearings as required. Coordinate genetic testing. Prepare computations to determine amount of current support pursuant to the Ohio Child Support Guidelines and attend court to document proceedings. Calculate arrearages and process IRS tax intercepts.

Minimum Requirements to Perform Work:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two (2) years of general office experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is a bargaining unit position.
