As a key contributor within the Global Talent Center of Excellence (COE) and the Global People team, the Talent Manager will have a direct hand in the execution of talent processes, including talent reviews, interviews for development and development programs. You will support the deployment of initiatives designed by the COE to the corporate functions at McDonald’s, as well as the design and execution of talent projects specific to those business units. You will build close partnerships with Center HR business partners and senior company leaders.
In this role, you will have high visibility within the McDonald’s organization. You will be reporting to the Director of Talent for Corporate Functions, providing you with opportunities to learn from best-in-class leaders and continuous growth in your career! This role will also directly consult with the Center HR business partner team in support of the globalized functions, serving as the primary point of contact for talent needs and program execution.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deploy and support execution of centralized talent processes and products, working closely with Talent, DEI, and L&D COE’s and HR partners
- Drive talent forums for marketing and operations (MCX) leadership teams to assess and strengthen talent pipelines globally
- Coach and influence MCX leaders in assessing talent and driving alignment with McDonald’s talent philosophy
- Manage global enterprise talent tracking, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
- Position yourself as a strategic partner by providing thought leadership on talent strategy for the global functions
- Ensure that all initiatives within your scope are completed on-time, on budget and consistent with requirements and objectives
- Provide clear direction and support regarding our talent processes and frameworks to our HR and business partners
- Build communication plans and engagement strategies to help talent initiatives gain traction within our teams
- Support or lead the execution of talent-related events such as talent reviews, interview processes and development programs
- Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, I/O Psychology or a related major, with relevant talent or consulting experience
- Proven experience supporting Talent Management, Talent Strategy, Succession Planning for a corporate population within a global organization as an HR COE member or HR Generalist
- Demonstrable knowledge of project management methodology and experience. Ability to prioritize multiple programs
- Inspired by thought leadership in the talent area alongside track record of delivering effective results and concrete change
- Highly effective verbal and written communicator. Able to construct complex, global communication strategies
- Effective at collaborating and working effectively with people at all levels of the organization
