Overview:
Snap One seeks a talented, passionate, bilingual Technical Instructor in its Lehi Office to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The instructor will lead an introduction to home automation class to certify technicians in programming home automation systems. In addition, the position will travel to Snap One partner stores to provide product and software training. The role will develop new curriculum by partnering with subject matter experts to write effective learning objectives, content, and assessments to create instructor-led training and online microlearning videos. The Technical Trainer should be comfortable speaking to large groups and have outstanding communication skills. This position should have vast, up-to-date knowledge in technical subjects and various training techniques and tools. The instructor needs to be fluent and comfortable teaching in both the English and Spanish languages.

- Present instructor-led training that displays best-in-class design, presentation, and engagement skills
- Develop new and revise existing training content for training materials such as microlearning videos and educational aides
- Continually work to increase knowledge of both industry technology and best practices in education
- Develop hands-on experience with Snap One solutions by performing maintenance and upgrades to education Centers and experience centers - use of hand tools, power tools and ladders required
- Gain product familiarity and drive improvement through beta testing of Snap One products
- Attend weekly meetings and/or site visits with various teams to increase technical knowledge and skills
- Up to 25% travel depending on demand
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education or a related field OR experience in technical training, content development, or related experience
- 3+ Years’ experience in technical training, content development, or related experience
- Ability to manage projects through to completion and meet deadlines for delivery
- Ability to create effective visual aids, with a keen eye for visual design
- Excellent communication/presentation skills, and the ability to optimize information for knowledge transfer and skill development
- Proven technical aptitude or experience in tech related field
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to read/speak/write English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field
- 5+ years’ hands on experience in tech related field
- Curriculum development work experience, using a well-defined instructional design system (e.g. ADDIE or SAM)
- Experience with eLearning development software (Storyline 360, Camtasia, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing training materials and content for instructor-led courses, blended learning, and/or e-learning
