The Technician Production-Operations for Beckman Coulter Life Science is responsible for manufacturing control and calibration products in a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-regulated environment. In this role, you will perform In-Process testing and calculations of our products to determine acceptance ranges for Beckman Coulter Inc. (BCI) Flow Cytometers (instruments such as FC-500, AQUIOS and NAVIOS).

This position is part of the Reagents Department located in Hialeah, FL and is an on-site role. In Beckman Coulter, our vision is to Advance Healthcare for Everyone.

You will be a part of the Reagent Department and report to the Supervisor Production-Operations responsible for Manufacture Products per Manufacturing Batch Records (Paper and/or electronic) using various system and equipment Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintaining accurate records of work performed according to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Quality System Regulations (QSRs). Schedule and perform Preventive Maintenance of equipment. Perform Indirect Labor tasks such as Inventory counting, Material transactions, process verifications, and troubleshooting malfunctions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work in the Manufacturing production operations area Filling Viles, Capping Viles, Packaging Product, and using a Pallet Jack to move our product.
• Compile and analyze test information to determine whether process or equipment is operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions.
• Assist with projects for process improvement, such as developing Standard Work for Daily/Weekly activities to improve the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and/or Productivity of the laboratory.
• Use relevant information and Critical Thinking skills to determine product and process compliance with the Quality System Regulations.
• Drives Continuous Process Improvement and contribute technical expertise and direction for root-cause analysis of product issues as well as implementation and sustainment for product issue remediation.
• Collaborate with support function departments and colleagues such as Manufacturing Technical Operations (MTO), Product Release Quality Control (PRQC), Quality Assurance (QA), Development, Engineering, etc.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School Degree (or equivalent degree) / 2+ years experience working in an FDA-regulated environment/laboratory.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance, stand 6 to 7 hours a day
• Ability to move materials in and out of a 2°C to 8°C degrees refrigerator 2-5 times a day.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel is a MUST; novice with Microsoft Word, and general Microsoft software.
• Must maintain a compliant, well-organized workstation, and always follow company policies.
