An exciting opportunity has become available for a Warehouse Operative to join our stores team in Wimborne, Dorset. If you enjoy working in an active role, where you are always on the go, then this role will be a great fit for you!

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for receiving goods, locating, and storing both hazardous and non-hazardous goods, picking/packing orders, and loading/unloading vehicles.

Day to day activities include assisting with stocktaking, keeping the warehouse/ stockyards tidy at all times and operating to protect both your own safety, and that of the team.

You may also be expected to provide out of hours cover on a rota basis (evenings, weekends including bank holidays) for which you will receive additional payments.

What are the requirements?

To be considered, you will be used to working within an active and fast paced role, whilst working well as part of a small team, but also be able to use your own initiative when required.

You will demonstrate an attention to detail and accuracy whilst working in a very busy environment and preferably have completed manual handling and general health and safety awareness training, PC skills will be beneficial in this role.

A counterbalance forklift truck licence is preferred; however, training will be provided for the right candidate. Most of all, you will be enthusiastic, flexible, and always be willing to take on new challenges.
