Captain Cookie and The Milkman, an established local dessert business, is seeking to fulfill a WEEKDAY CLOSING manager position for our Foggy Bottom store, which entails baking cookies, scooping ice cream, serving guests, point of sales operations, cleaning, store closing, another managerial duties listed below. NOTE: This location is metro accessible to the Foggy Bottom metro station (blue/orange/silver line)

Then come join us! All shifts currently available. Start immediately. Interview at the Arlington Courthouse location. Base pay is $17/hr, with the potential to earn over $20/hr with tips.

Applicant must be able to work these shifts:

• MONDAY - TUESDAY 4:30pm-12:15am; WEDNESDAY - THURSDAY 5pm-12:15am; FRIDAY 5pm-1:15am
• Two weekday on-call shifts a week (of your choosing)
• There is the option to pick up additional shifts throughout the week, as available in either of our locations.

Experience:

• We require food service, customer service for a minimum of 2 years
• Food service preferred, but willing to train a motivated candidate
• Managerial experience preferred

Candidates who possess the following qualities highly preferred:

• Experience running a store solo!
• Honesty
• Flexibility/availability in schedule
• Responsiveness by call/text/email
• Motivation to be part of growing, exciting small business
• Desire to please customers
• A LOVE FOR DELICIOUS COOKIES!
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• ServSafe certification is a huge plus!

Ideal candidate takes pride in great work and is looking to become part of a growing business.

• Big plus if the candidate is proficient in food prep and service, customer service, point-of-sale system use and cleaning.
• Beyond the basics of the job (listed above), the store manager is also responsible for some cash handling; some occasional training and inventory. This person closes the store every evening and communicates with the opening manager at the beginning of their shift. Responsiveness to occasional texts/calls/emails when you are away from work is a plus.
