Job description

We are looking for a BOH Supervisor/Sous Chief to oversee the kitchen staff and quality of food in our Lakeside Restaurant location. He/She will work closely with owner. This is a full time seasonal job with an opportunity to stay on with the company and move over into catering after the summer season.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year proven work experience in the kitchen leadership role
• High Volume kitchen experience
• ServSafe certified
• Strong communication skills
• Have a positive energy and be ready to assist support staff and work as a team player
• Flexible schedule to work mornings, days, nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Manage kitchen staff
• Work the line
• Help supervise food prep and cooking
• Check food plating and temperature to ensure amazing food to each of our guests
• Train kitchen staff on prep work, food cooking and plating
• Oversee kitchen safety and maintain sanitation, rotation and storage of product and efficient receiving
• Scheduling staff based on the demands of the restaurant
• Control food cost
• Stock and maintain sufficient food product level at line stations to assure a smooth service period
• Assist in food prep assignments during off peak periods as needed
• Prepare open and close checklist and make sure they are followed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
