JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Residential Treatment and Recovery Services provides clinical and administrative oversight of treatment and recovery focused residential programs. Responsible for ensuring satisfaction with services and providing liaison between individuals, other agencies, community services, and regulatory bodies. Participates in the evaluation of existing services and facilitates the development of new services, through short- and long-range planning. Establishes and is responsible for programmatic outcomes that reflect effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. Responsible for multimillion dollar billing budget and overall supervision for administrative and clinical staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Direct residential treatment and recovery services and staff in accordance with established objectives, policy and procedure, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Provide leadership to staff, plan and implement opportunities for professional development, and ensure effective and appropriate delivery of services. Meet regularly with appropriate leadership to staff cases, address issues, and share information relevant to the effective and efficient management of the program.
- Ensure the maintenance of a recordkeeping and data collection system appropriate to the needs of consumers served as well as meeting Agency requirements for statistical reporting that is in accord with regulatory standards that include, but are not limited to, Medicaid guidelines. Utilize outcome data to modify or enhance service delivery.
- Ensure the provision of appropriate advocacy services to clients in order to provide liaison between the client, other agencies, and community services, and work with designated Rights Consultant/Regional Advocate to find resolution of any alleged rights violations.
- Develop and manage the budget of the program; develop long-range plans, policy and procedures; identify the need for new, expanded, or modified services within the program’s budget structure. Establish programmatic outcomes that reflect effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. Review these outcomes and manage changes necessary to improve measures.
- Serve on committees, teams, and other groups to provide updates, guidance, and clarification for the service area, and assist in meeting overall Agency goals.
- Participate in a variety of meetings including regular meetings with supervisor for the purpose of exchanging information and addressing program goals and addressing issues of concern.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of principles of management and supervision.
- Knowledge, above the journeyman level, of the specific programmatic area (i.e., substance abuse/mental health symptomatology, terminology, and treatment.
- Knowledge of program evaluation techniques, needs assessment methods, and public relations.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of clinical versus crisis methodologies.
- Skills in staff training/evaluation.
- Accounting/fiscal management skills.
Licensed Mental Health Professional credential required. Additionally, the position should have several years' experience in both direct service and supervision. Knowledge of budgets and billing required. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
