We are seeking a MATERIAL HANDLER to join our team!
Strong upper body for lifting, driving Forklift
The Material Handler I is responsible for all material handling activities including; storing, rotating, shipping, and receiving of raw materials/components/products in compliance with company standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Verifies physical cycle count matches logic cycle counts and make adjustments in the ERP system.
  • Data enters daily productivity in ERP system.
  • Communicates all inventory issues (inaccuracies, low level of supply, out of stocks, etc.) to the Warehouse Lead/Supervisor.
  • Contacts Supervisor, Warehouse Lead and Planning Department when the inventory is below the minimum range and the item(s) is backordered.
  • Cleans and maintains an organized work area at all times by returning components and/or equipment to assigned areas; as well as practice safe work habits and safe equipment storage.
  • Prepares all raw materials (RM) are physically available for production for the next 24 hours base on production schedule.
  • Re-stocks assigned supply areas.
  • Loads, unloads, wraps, palletizes, and/or stacks containers, materials, or boxes to and from cars, trucks, and any other vehicles.
  • Ensures all quality requirements (temperature, code dates, packaging integrity) are met to receive products.
  • Receives, rotates, and moves products to storage areas using proper equipment (i.e., pallet jack, forklift, etc.) in compliance with safety requirements.
  • Examines incoming or outgoing shipments and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
  • Helps prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Pulls orders according to batch record, code dates, assembles and secures pallets for transportation and stage orders.
  • Corresponds with management to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, sort mistakes, and non-conformance to specifications.
  • Keeps tally or count of product moved and report to production planning department.
  • Removes empty skids and stacks skids in designated area.
  • Reports any mechanical or electrical difficulties to the supervisor.
  • Works with the Production team to help monitor the scrap process.
  • Coordinates with the Planning Department when there are schedule changes to ensure that there are enough materials to proceed with any planned production on schedules.
Qualifications
  • 6 months – 2 years of work experience in warehouse environment with some knowledge of cGMPs and FDA regulations.
  • Must be able to drive and operate a forklift and use pallet jack.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and time management skills
  • Problem solving skills
