The Project Coordinator provides ongoing project support for a variety of Department of Chemistry operations, including Building and Grounds, Copy Center, and Administration activities. The incumbent will track and communicate work orders, building plans, and building access, coordinate and analyze department-wide chemical usage, assist with Copy Center projects and services, and manage capital equipment inventory,
- 25% Develops, schedules, coordinates, and prioritizes project work plans in accordance with specifications and resource limitations
- 25% Develops, enhances, and maintains operational standards and systems to support project teams
- 15% Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions
- 10% Establishes, monitors, coordinates, and controls project budgets versus actual expenditures and budget reporting
- 5% Serves as the initial point of contact for the project(s), serves on committees, and attends meetings representing the interests of the project(s)
- 20% Serves as DPA for Capital Equipment management

Required
Bachelor's Degree
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Formal or informal project management or development experience, including proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with implementing solutions for organizational challenges, interpreting policy or processes, managing organizational risk or compliance.
Preferred:
- Proven ability to collaborate and contribute to a successful team in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills: proven ability to bring value to stakeholders with new/revised projects or initiatives.
- Ability to analyze qualitative data.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated and effective cultural competencies.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Minimum $50,600 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
Minimum starting salary is $50,600/year. Actual starting salary will be dependent upon qualifications.
